“Elijah will know where this name is from,” Diesel added. “I actually had a character that was a witch hunter.” Lest any D&D experts question his assertion, Diesel went on to explain how he ended up as a non-standard class (third-party rulebooks called Arcana), his spell class (mysticism), and his character’s name (Melchor), which led to another gleeful geek-out.
“I guess I’m safe in this room - it’s no secret that I love Dungeons and Dragons,” Diesel said to resounding cheers. Of course, Diesel knows his way around fantasy weaponry, both real and imagined. There’s a propane tank strapped to your back and you look to the left and there are eight firemen, and you suddenly realize there’s not a lot of room for error here. And the beard and the fur, that’s what was so scary. “If you tilt the sword, the flames would threaten to burn you. “The most dangerous part was going from the stunt sword to the real sword,” Diesel shared. The blade was a hot topic (sorry) during the movie’s New York Comic Con panel, where stars Vin Diesel, Rose Leslie, Elijah Wood and director Breck Eisner discussed the production of the film - which included some perilous moments.

With these beings attempting to unleash the Black Death upon civilization, the Queen Witch has also been resurrected and she's looking to get even with the man who took her life. Cut to the present day and Kaulder is the last remaining witch hunter, which sucks for him because now there's a massive surge of witchy activity. Unfortunately for him, with her last few breaths she cursed Kaulder with her own immortality, which has been keeping him from moving on to the afterlife and reuniting with his wife and daughter. Back in olden times, he was able to slay the Queen of the witches, which, in the process, killed all of her followers. In the film, Diesel portrays Kaulder, a witch hunter who has been battling these supernatural beings across the centuries, all over the world.
However, The Last Witch Hunter movie already looks so ridiculous - like, Underworld-style ridiculous - so this film will probably rank among those you love to laugh with. With folks like Michael Caine, Elijah Wood, and Rose Leslie surrounding him, there's nothing this action star can't do. The Last Witch Hunter trailer has finally dropped, and the footage gives us a taste of what Vin Diesel will look like when he becomes a legendary supernatural warrior.
